I'm graduating Saturday!!!!!111one. I think I'll buy myself a Wacom tablet as a congratulations-you-survived gift. Or maybe I'll wait until after I get those darned graduate school applications turned in. Or at least until I take my exams. Which are the week AFTER graduation. Which is just plain sad. And mean. Shame, GV, shame.
...just thought you all should know. Bring on the pomp and circumstance!!

Wacom substitute?

Yep, I'm still alive. Guess it's time for the yearly journal entry, eh? :P
So! I want a Wacom tablet. But, being the starving college student that I am, yadda yadda, and considering that I'm not exactly a terribly good artist :P, I can't really justify buying myself one. So, I'm looking at alternate ideas, and I've come across computer pen-mice (i-Pen, Wow-Pen, etc.). Has anyone tried any of these, and/or could you recommend a good one? Doesn't have to be anything terribly fancy; I just need something that feels more like a pen and less like a .. well, mouse. :P

Well gee, I move across the state, and what happens? A blizzard!! On the weekend of my cousin's wedding shower, no less. Which means that all the people who were coming tomorrow to help us eat all this food Mom bought ... aren't coming. Which means... more food for me!!! Yay snow! :D
Yeah, anyhow, it's either snowing, blowing, or both out there, but whichever it is, I can't drive to the fabric store, so my dress alteration project is going to have to wait. What doesn't have to wait..... is the homework!!!
...and there was much rejoicing. Yay...

I really like that your style is unique -- I'm not much of an artist (as you can probably tell from my gallery), but I spent years trying to draw just like a friend of mine before I finally started to appreciate what it takes it develop your own personal style.

ACEN, whoooo! I really really hope to make it this year -- I was all set to go last year and then got accepted to a spring dissertation workshop and had to cancel all my plans.
